St. Joseph's Rebuild Center
The Rebuild Center is a disaster recovery station initiated just weeks after Hurricane Katrina leveled New Orleans in 2006. Organized around a landscaped court framed by wooden trellises, the center provides clean and potable water—washing machines, showers, drinking fountains, toilets, and hand-washing sinks—to the Treme community destroyed by the storm surge.
